FBC MAINE'S REopening PLAN!
As part of Broome County’s Phase 3, First Baptist Church is allowed to reopen at 50% capacity. So we will being by offering a worship service for the entire family at 10:45 AM each Sunday.
We are following New York State’s as well as CDC Guidelines to promote the health of the people we serve as well as our community.
In light of this, we ask encourage you to bring your own mask, and if possible to wear it while you are with us. MASKS ARE TO BE WORN UNTIL YOU SIT DOWN IN YOUR SEAT. NEW YORK STATE REQUIRES THAT YOU PUT YOUR MASK BACK ON WHEN YOU SING OR HAVE TO LEAVE YOUR SEAT. Masks will be available as you enter in case you need one. We will practice social distancing of 6ft apart from others and designate rows for seating to promote it.
Hand sanitizer will be throughout the building for your use. In order to provide a “Touchless” service we will prop all doors open so you will not have to touch them. All hymnals, bibles, and paper have been removed for this reason. No printed materials like bulletins or sermon notes will be available except online.
Unfortunately, there will be no nursery or children’s ministries for now. We will add ministries as the Board deems it is safe to do so. We realize that it can be challenging to keep kids occupied during a service. We do not expect them to be completely silent. We love kids so we are ok with that.
Please do not feel pressure to return because we are reopening. We would love to have you with us. But if you have a compromised health condition or over 65 with underlying health condition, you may want to stay home. We understand. If you are sick or experiencing symptoms, please stay home.
We will continue to offer our livestream for everyone to enjoy when they are unable to make it to worship with us in person.
If you have any questions, please feel free to call the church office at (607)-862-9617.
Our mission is to glorify God by making Christ-like disciples through evangelism, training, worship, fellowship and missions as each member uses his or her God-given gifts.
